Sonic Days 2025 – Recap & Insights

Sonic Days 2025 marked a new milestone for the conference. Over two days in Kolding, the international audio community gathered to share ideas, technologies, and creative practices across music, film, games, podcasting, museums, and emerging immersive formats.

This year’s edition brought together more than 750 participants from over 20 countries, alongside 90+ speakers and more than 80 sessions. The programme spanned nine thematic tracks and created a space where artists, engineers, researchers, companies, and students could meet and exchange knowledge across disciplines.

To document the impact of the event, we have compiled a Sonic Days 2025 Recap & Insights report. The report provides an overview of the audience, the international reach of the conference, and how companies, institutions, and creators engaged with the event.

Inside the report you will find:

  • Key statistics and highlights from Sonic Days 2025
  • Insights into the audience and professional backgrounds of participants
  • An overview of the programme tracks and thematic focus areas
  • Examples of how sponsors and partners engaged with the community
  • Reflections on the role Sonic Days plays in the Nordic and international audio ecosystem

Sonic Days continues to grow as a meeting point for creative audio practice and technological innovation. What makes the conference unique is its open and accessible format, where students, emerging professionals, and established industry leaders meet on equal footing and contribute to the development of the field.

The report also points forward. As we begin planning the next edition, Sonic Days will continue to strengthen international participation, expand hands-on experiences, and deepen collaborations with artists, companies, and educational institutions.
