Emma Butt joins Sonic Days 2026

How do you shape a story through sound?

Emma Butt has spent nearly two decades answering that question through her work as a dialogue editor, ADR editor, SFX editor and re-recording mixer across film, television and documentary productions.

An Emmy nominee and MPSE Golden Reel Award winner, Emma is recognised for her ability to bring clarity, emotion and authenticity to every soundtrack. From dialogue editing and ADR to sound effects and the final mix, her work helps audiences connect with stories without ever drawing attention to the craft behind them.

Beyond her work in post-production, Emma is an active mentor and advocate for developing the next generation of creative talent. She has also contributed to initiatives promoting greater diversity and inclusion within the post-production industry, helping create more opportunities for future professionals.

At Sonic Days 2026, Emma will share practical insights into dialogue editing, ADR workflows and the editorial decisions that shape compelling cinematic storytelling.

Whether you work in film, television, post-production or are simply passionate about the craft of storytelling through sound, this session offers a unique opportunity to learn from one of the industry’s leading practitioners.

Sonic Days 2026 takes place November 18–19 in Kolding, Denmark. Registration is free.
