Fine-Tuning the Story: Craig Henighan’s Sound Edits Behind the Screen

Craig Henighan, a recognized figure in sound design and editing, will be one of the speakers at Sonic Days 2024. Henighan is known for his work on notable projects such as Roma (2018), Stranger Things (2016), and The Fountain (2006), and he has built a strong reputation in the film and television industry for his contributions to sound production.

Henighan, a Canadian-American sound editor and engineer based in Los Angeles, has received several accolades throughout his career. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Sound category for his work on Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma and has earned six Primetime Emmy Awards, recognizing his achievements in Outstanding Sound Editing and Outstanding Sound Mixing. He received these awards primarily for his work on the popular TV series Stranger Things and the animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots. His career spans a variety of film genres, with other credits including Deadpool, The Whale, Prey, Black Swan, Free Guy, and Tropic Thunder.

At Sonic Days 2024, Henighan will share his expertise in the Film & TV track, discussing the role of sound in cinematic storytelling.
