Mike Sheridan is performing a concert in the Atrium, where he will use an immersive sound system featuring 187 speakers. Expect a tour de force of compositions and musical landscapes within the exciting electronic genre that Mike has helped shape from day one.

On stage, Mike will play, among other instruments and synthesizers, the rare French Cristal Baschet—an instrument that is highly sculptural in both its design and its sonic footprint. He will primarily perform tracks from his latest release, Touch, which came out in September 2026.
The concert takes place on the warm-up evening, Tuesday, 17 November, at 20:00. It has been organised in collaboration with the venue Godset in Kolding.
Touch: an invitation to listen closely
On Touch, Mike Sheridan brings analogue electronics and the rare Cristal Baschet into a world of shifting textures and subtle sonic detail. The album explores touch and presence: the small changes that become noticeable when we give sound our full attention. Released on his own label, non.pop.syntax., its six tracks unfold across 42 minutes.
For listeners drawn to exploratory electronic music, the appeal is in that sense of discovery. In its review of Touch, BLAZAR praises the album’s patient sound exploration and the way its changing timbres leave room for the listener’s imagination. It is an approach that connects directly with Mike’s Sonic Days appearance: first experience the music in the Atrium, then hear how he developed its sounds and compositions.
Inside the making of Touch
The following day, Mike Sheridan will feature in the official conference programme.
Mike will discuss the making of his new album, Touch. He will explain how he used the album’s release in immersive sound, how this influenced the creation of synthesizer sounds, and the overall approach taken during the recording process. Expect to dive into deep, creative waters regarding both sound design and composition.
His presentation takes place in the Yamaha sponsor room on the ground floor on Wednesday, 18 November, at 11:30.

About Mike Sheridan
Mike Sheridan has been part of the Copenhagen electronic music scene since the mid-2000s. He entered the scene, barely in his teens, with his landmark debut album, the DMA-winning I Syv Sind (In Two Minds, 2008). Sheridan traced an ambient and dreamy approach, and with limited tools at hand, he constructed a teenage masterwork that few could have predicted. Among the first in his generation, Mike launched his career to high acclaim, effectively crossing over to mainstream audiences.
A shift in tone occurred for Sheridan in 2010 when he stumbled on the mysterious French Cristal Baschet: a sound sculpture invented as an acoustic complement to the electronic musique concrète of the 1950s and later developed into an instrument in its own right by its inventors, the French Baschet brothers. He immediately embarked on an intense study of the instrument, eventually becoming one of only a handful of individuals in the world who can call themselves a Cristalist.
In 2021, Mike received his first Danish Academy Award (Robert Prisen) nomination as a score composer for his work on Persona Non Grata (2021). The feature film, directed by debut filmmaker Lisa Jespersen, was well received by audiences and critics, making it one of the most watched and best-reviewed films of the year.
His third album, Atmospherics, was released internationally in 2023. Mike Sheridan’s fourth album, Touch, was released on 10 September 2026 on his own label.
