Ana Rita Costa joins Sonic Days 2026

How do we experience sound when it becomes something we inhabit rather than simply hear?
We’re delighted to welcome Ana Rita Costa to Sonic Days 2026.
Ana Rita is a sound artist, DJ and artistic researcher whose work explores the relationship between spatial audio, electronic music and immersive listening. Her practice combines creative performance with research, creating experiences that challenge conventional ideas about how we perceive sound and space.
Working across sound art, live performance and artistic research, Ana Rita investigates how spatialisation, movement and technology can transform listening into an embodied experience. Her work invites audiences to engage with sound not only as something they hear, but as something they physically inhabit.
At Sonic Days 2026, she will contribute perspectives from the intersection of immersive audio, artistic experimentation and contemporary listening practices. Her session will be of particular interest to anyone working with immersive media, sound art, spatial audio or creative technologies.
We look forward to welcoming Ana Rita Costa to Kolding this November.
Sonic Days 2026 takes place November 18–19 in Kolding, Denmark. Registration is free.
